The Vice President of the European Commission responsible for issues of Employment, Development, Investments and Competitiveness Jyrki Katainen will be in Athens on Tuesday to have a series of meetings with government and opposition party officials. While in Athens, he will address a European Commission conference on competitiveness.
The European Commissioner will meet with Parliament President Nikos Voutsis, the Vice President of the government and Economy Minister Yiannis Dragasakis and with the leader of main opposition New Democracy (ND) Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
Katainen will attend the two-day conference organised by the European Commission “#EUandU on employment, investments and entrepreneurship in the European Union” on January 29 and 30.
He will also exchange views with members of parliament’s standing committees.
