Security measures for German chancellor’s visit include traffic changes

Over 2,000 police have been assigned to security measures for the visit on Thursday and Friday of German Chancellor Angela Merkel to Athens.

Measures include changes in traffic circulation, which will be adapted to the visiting official’s schedule that includes meetings with Greek political leaders.

No decision has been made by the police yet on protest rallies scheduled for 18:00 on Thursday by Popular Unity (LAE), Antarsya, antiestablishment groups and Golden Dawn in downtown Athens.
