PM Tsipras to attend UN Conference on Global Compact for Migration on Monday

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is scheduled to take part in the Intergovernmental Conference to adopt a Global Compact for Migration taking place in Marrakech, Morocco on Monday, under the auspices of the United Nations General Assembly.

The prime minister will speak during the debate before the plenum of the conference, which is due to begin at 9:00, presenting Greece’s positions on the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration.

On the sidelines of the Intergovernmental Conference, which will take place on December 10-11, Tsipras is to have bilateral meetings with the President of the United Nations General Assembly Maria Fernanda Espinosa and the Vice-President of the International Committee of the Red Cross Gilles Carbonnier.
