Terens Quick, Cyprus’ Photiou set June 20 date for trilateral with Egypt on diaspora issues

Deputy Foreign Minister for diaspora issues Terens Quick on Wednesday had a meeting in Athens with Cyprus Commissioner to the Presidency for Overseas Cypriots Photis Photiou, discussing bilateral issues and the next steps in the trilateral cooperation launched by Greece and Cyprus with other Mediterranean nations.

During the meeting, and with the agreement of their Egyptian counterpart Nabila Makram, they decided that the next Greece-Cyprus-Egypt trilateral meeting on diaspora issues will take place in Nicosia on June 20, so that the next stage of the “Nostos” programme can be planned and ratified.

Their talks covered pending issues, such as deciding new areas of cooperative action, and reviewed the results so far of their trilateral cooperation with Israel, Egypt and Armenia.
