Digital Policy Ministry helps 10 startuppers attend Infacoma 2019

The Ministry of Digital Policy, Telecommunications and Media sponsored 10 start-up companies, enabling them to attend “Infacoma”, the 36th international exhibition for the building and construction sectors, it was announced on Tuesday.

The exhibition, held from 8 to 11 February 2019 at the Mediterranean Exhibition Center in Paiania, was organised after the success of the “Digital Greece” initiative, presented during the first start-up theme park at the 83rd Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF).

Digital Minster Nikos Pappas stated while visiting the exhibition that the state “is showing its support in practice to the startup community. The successful presence of Digital Greece at the TIF, with the presence of 128 start-up companies […] was only the beginning, as we have chosen to support start-up participants in all sector exhibitions organised by Helexpo.”

He then referred to an “explosion of start-ups in recent years” and expressed the opinion that “the diffusion, in the Greek economy and society, of the innovative products and services that Greek startuppers produce […] will have multiple benefits.”
