Vassilis Kikilias calling for clarifications: Top ministers blaming one another over funds’ mismanagement

“Whoever has profited from Greek taxpayers money, whoever has stolen from the Greek state, should go to jail, as the law provides,” New Democracy (ND) shadow defence minister Vassilis Kikilias said on Thursdsay, noting that those who handle state funds and direct accusations at others should be very careful.

Speaking to private SkaiTV, the main opposition deputy referred to the confrontation in a cabinet meeting between former Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias and National Defence Minister and ANEL leader Panos Kammenos, saying that while one minister charged irregularity in handling classified Foreign Ministry funds, the other charges the same for funds of the Defence Ministry. “Top ministers blame one another over the mismanagement of funds and black money and (Prime Minister Alexis) Tsipras remains silent. The Greek people has the right to know,” said Kikilias.
