ND and IMF are unnecessary where there is optimism, says Pappas

ND (main opposition New Democracy) and IMF are unnecessary where there is optimism and totally useless for the recovery” noted Digital Minister Nikos Pappas in an interview.

On the issue of pension cuts, he underlined that “there is fiscal room and the abolition of the measure will have an effect on the primary surplus agreed targets” adding that “for the same reason the reduction of the tax free will be abolished next year”.

He appeared certain that there is the necessary majority in the Greek parliament for the ratification of the Prespes Agreement.

Referring to the national broadcaster ERT, Pappas said that it was for years prisoner of interests that did not allow it to develop its dynamic and reassured that “slowly but steadily this dynamic is being restored”.
