They are taking a risk because they trust us, says Kotzias

“They are taking a risk because they trust us,” Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias said on Monday in an inteview.

He added that it now remains to be ratified by the parliament in Skopje this week, followed by a referendum and a change in the neighbouring country’s constitution. Following this, it will have to be ratified in Greece.

Kotzias underlined the importance of having a friendly and cooperative state at Greece’s northern borders, explaining the dangers of making FYROM a Turkish community, or destroying it and making the great Albania and Great Bulgaria. “Because the issues of foreign policy are very serious and very harsh. Is this in Greece interests? Because some talk without thinking about the consequences, ” he noted.
