Case file on sale of suplus armaments to Saudi Arabia sent to Parliament

A case file on the sale of surplus armaments to Saudi Arabia allegedly handled by National Defence Minister Panos Kammenos was forwarded by the anti-corruption prosecutor to Parliament on Tuesday.

According to court sources, the case comes under the law on ministerial liability and must be investigated by Parliament, which will determine whether Kammenos has committed breach of faith.

The same sources also said the case file contains the testimony of a single witness, while the man named as intermediary between Greece and Saudi Arabia has been served summons by the prosecutors but has not shown up at court.
