Fourteen new shipping companies in Piraeus port, ministry reports

The shipping ministry highlighted in a report released on Monday the total of 14 shipping companies (managers and brokers) which began operations in Piraeus and succeeded raising the number of companies requesting licences and hiring staff in Greece to around 290 in the last three years.

According to official figures released by the Bank of Greece for the January-October 2017 period, the ministry report noted that transport foreign currency inflows totaled 7.533 billion euros, from 6.376 billion in the same period in 2016, for an increase of 18.15 pct.
