The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural center to host events for all ages

The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural center organizes for once more, several events for both adults and children from the 17th of March to 26th of March.

On Friday the 17th of March, the ‘My city of Light’ event will take place from 6PM to 8PM (GMT + 2), at NLG ground floor and kids lab. This event directs to children from the age of six to eight. Participants will have the chance to become familiar with urban landscape design. Furthermore, children will compose the skyline of their own Athens on cardboard. (Up to 15 participants)

On Saturday the 18th of March, the ‘In search of the minotaur’event will be held from 5:30PM to 8:30PM (GMT + 2) at NLG ground floor. This event directs to adults and it is inspired by some popular mythological figures, including the Minotaur and the Sphinx among others. Moreover, those who participate in the event will be able to make a large collage on the Labyrinth’s theme.(up to 20 participants). Afterwards, at the Lighthouse, visitors will have the chance to see Mikael Delta, performing live his new project, titled ‘Pathos’.

Furthermore, on Sunday the 19th and on the 26th of March, ‘The Park’s little gardeners’ event will take place from 11AM to 12:30PM (GMT + 2), at the Vegetable Garden. Children from the age of five to nine will be able to explore the park and get familiar with plants and flowers too. Moreover, they will be able to plant their own flowers. (Up to 20 participants)

Furthermore, ‘The imaginary lives of artists’ event will also be held, at NLG kids lab, from 11:30AM to 12:30PM (GMT + 2). The particular event direct to children aged 3 and up and it mainly an art-history workshop. (up to 30 participants per meeting)

Finally at the Labyrinth from 1:30PM to 2:45PM (GMT + 2), Tai Chi session is provided to all ages. Tai chi is a martial art, which involves movements in a focused and slow manner, accompanied by deep breathing. Tai chi helps to reduce stress levels and to increase your balance, as well. (Up to 25 participants)

On Friday, the 23rd of March Christina Petrinou, art historian will host The “Photography and its relation with other art forms” event, at the Book Castle from 6:30PM to 8:30PM (GMT + 2).

Entrance to all the events is free.
