2019 World Championship for Indoor Aerobatic Model Aircraft starting Sunday

The 2019 FAI F3P World Championship for Indoor Aerobatic Model Aircraft will start on Sunday on the terrace of the Loggia in Heraklion, Crete.

The games will be held on Crete for the first time, on March 17-23. The opening ceremony, for symbolic reasons, will be held in downtown Heraklion. The remaining events will be hosted at the Heraklion Sports Arena, an indoor stadium located in a part of the city known as Dyo Aorakia.

At a press conference on Thursday, the vice mayor of Heraklion Costas Vardavas said that “the world games will bring to our city over 60 athletes from 15 countries, at a time when the summer season is not fully underway and this is important. It is the first time that such an event is held on Crete and we hope that this cooperation will continue in the future”.
