Maniadakis appears in person before the council of judges

Professor Nikos Maniadakis, who is among those charged in connection with the Novartis case, appeared on Friday before a council of judges to rule on his petition for the lifting of travel restrictions forbidding him leave the country, imposed after he was prosecuted on bribery charges. The professor’s petition also objects to the charges pressed against him by the corruption prosecutors after removing his protected witness status.

After the end of the hearing, Maniadakis stated to the press: “I am here…I am certain that the truth will be revealed and I have absolute faith in Greek justice.”
