Authorities locate 119 migrants on a beach in Ilia

Greek authorities on Thursday intercepted 119 migrants, among them 14 women and 17 children, on a beach near Savalia, Ileia. The migrants were found in the afternoon and transferred to the Katakolo coast guard headquarters.

The coast guard is investigating to discover how the migrants reached Ileia and to determine their final destination. They are also examining the possibility that the migrants were waiting on the beach to be picked up by a ship that would take them to Italy.
