First refugees leave Athens to be reunited with their families in Germany

The first refugees that will be reunited with their families in Germany departed on Monday from Athens.

The 117 refugees, mostly from Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan, left on a charter flight from Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” in the context of the agreement between Greece and Germany that calls for the completion of the family reunions that have been already approved by Germany.

More flights with refugees will follow in the coming period.
