Passenger traffic at the Athens International Airport saw double digit growth in April, according to data published Friday.
Passenger traffic in April rose 13.6 percent reaching 1.87 million passengers with domestic and international visitors up 8.5 percent (to 570,886) and 16.1 percent (to 1,296,678) respectively.
For the four month period, passenger traffic hit 5.9 million people, up 9.7 percent on the year.
Figures also showed that the number of domestic flights in April rose 10.8 percent to 6,524 versus 5,886 in the same month a year earlier. International flights reached 9,919 verusus 8,807 last year, rising 12.6 percent.
