Transfer of King George hotel from Eurobank to Lampsa completed, company says

Lampsa Hellenic Hotels SA on Thursday announced the completion of its acquisition of the historic King George hotel in central Athens, along with its movable assets and logo, from Eurobank for the sum of 43 million euros.

The hotel had been leased to Lampsa SA since 2013 and operated under joint management with the neighbouring luxury hotel Grande Bretagne.

In its announcement, Lampsa said that the completion of this sale and the formal completion of a long-term lease of the historic King’s Palace hotel owned by a former ATE bank employees’ welfare fund signalled the successful completion of its investment plans in the centre of Athens.
