Riot police throws tear gas in clashes with anti-establishment youths in Thessaloniki

Clashes erupted between riot police and anti-establishment youths during a demonstration in Thessaloniki on Wednesday, marking the nine-year anniversary from the police killing of a high school student.

A group of hooded youths broke away from the main body of the protesters and started throwing objects against riot police positioned outside the University of Thessaloniki’s Faculty of Philosophy. Police responded with tear gas and stun grenades.
