Brussels: 11 European states have met their 2020 environmental sustainability pledges

Eurostat issued a report last week which claimed that the European Union managed in 2016 to satisfy 17% of its energy requirements from renewable sources. Of the 28 E.U. member states, 11 have already reached the 2020 target to possess renewable resources more than 20% in their energy resource mixes utilised for covering their power requirements.

PM Tsipras to visit Berlin and Paris this weekend

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will visit Berlin and then Paris this weekend, starting from Friday. Tsipras will meet on Friday at 19:30 the co-chairperson of the leftist party Die Linke, Katja Kipping.

EBA to be relocated in Paris

The voting procedure for the city to host the European Banking Authority (EBA) has been completed, after candidates-cities were shortlisted. The three last candidacies were Paris, Frankfurt and Dublin.
