#EUandME invites young filmmakers to talk about the European Union

The EU invites young filmmakers aged between 18 and 35, to make their own short film about the campaign #EUandME. Five winners will receive a grant of € 7,500 each, as well as guidance from a top European director who will help them realize their idea. The deadline for the submission of proposals is October 31, 2018.

Interested parties are invited to submit their idea for a short film about a story regarding the impact of the European Union on the daily life of citizens. The film directors can participate in one of five campaign-related categories: mobility, sustainability, rights, skills, businesses and digital.

In addition to the film’s script, a short video is required, in which the candidates will pitch their idea, as well as a link to a short film that they have directed in the past.

Applications must be submitted via an electronic application form, available on the competition website.

The #EUandME campaign, featuring five short short films from well-known European filmmakers, began in the 28 EU Member States in May 2018 aiming at starting a debate on the EU’s impact on young people’s lives. More details about the competition for new directors will be available on the campaign’s website.
