‘Festos Palace’ sets sail for Piraeus after passing inspection

The ferry “Festos Palace” has set off for Piraeus from the port of Iraklio after passing a safety inspection on Friday. The ferry’s departure had been postponed and it was ordered to stay in Iraklio for inspection after a slight collision with the pier as it was setting sail from the port on Thursday.

The ship remained in the port overnight and was found to be fully seaworthy during a thorough inspection on Friday morning, departing for Piraeus immediately afterward.

The 280 passengers spent the night on board the ferry and are all safe.

The ferry’s scheduled departure from Piraeus on Saturday at 21:00 will be carried out normally.
