“Greece always needs the support of its children. And these, wherever they live, always need her bright sun and blue seas”, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said in a message he sent to all diaspora Greeks living in the USA, in the context of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Prime Minister stated that Greece is entering the second month of the emergency measures and that “after the illegal invasion of migrants at the border, we were attacked by this invisible enemy against our health”.
“We have won the first battle. And every day we are winning the second one, through the government’s bold and swift decisions, through the mobilization of the state. And with the responsible behavior of all citizens, in cities and villages,” Mitsotakis underscored, adding that his thoughts are with the Greeks, wherever they may be, and especially with those living in the USA.
“Our country’s experience shows that staying calm and showing solidarity, bring results. So stay home, take care of your health and look after the most vulnerable and support each other. Our Embassy and Consulates are always open and the expatriate organizations with our Church provide a stable assistance network”, underlined the Greek PM.
The Greek Prime minister invites the diaspora Greeks to visit our country from the comfort of their own home, urges them to talk to their relatives living in Greece and to get to know the new platform www.greecefromhome.com
