Alternate Foreign Minister Miltiadis Varvitsiotis will take part in a videoconference today at 3 pm, with the European Affairs Ministers of the MED7 Group, i.e. Portugal, France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Malta.
The videoconference will prepare the Med7 Summit Meeting that France will host in the near future.
According to a statement from the Alternate Foreign Minister, the ministers will discuss issues of European interest, including a plan for Europe’s recovery and a way out of the crisis. The Future of Europe and the lessons learned from the crisis are also on the agenda.
At the end of the teleconference, a joint statement – declaration will be adopted which will point out that European coordination and solidarity are the best means for dealing with the crisis. The text of the declaration will include a special report on the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean.
