How can cultural synergies contribute to innovation and creativity in the field of culture? The two-day Interfaces Conference “Cultural synergies, creativity & innovation”, explores this question and brings together representatives from projects funded by the Creative Europe program, cultural practitioners and policymakers. The conference takes place on March 5 and 6, at Onassis Stegi.
For two days, the participants will discuss, re-think and re-use strategies on strengthening audience development as a means of improving access to European cultural and creative works, promoting the transnational mobility of artists and professionals and fostering capacity building through innovative approaches to creation, management and marketing for the cultural sectors.
The Conference includes insights, perspectives and tools developed during the four-year large-scale cooperation project Interfaces, coordinated by Onassis STEGI with the support of the Creative Europe program, and connects these with other initiatives, projects and collaborations in Europe and beyond.
Paul Dujardin, CEO and Artistic Director, Center for Fine Arts Brussels/BOZAR, will present the keynote speech: on the “European collaboration as a means to further explore the possibilities of arts and science interactions”.
“In the light of current global challenges related to the sustainable development of our societies, interactions between arts and science have tremendously evolved and expanded in the last decades. It is a sign of the times that an ever-growing number of artists and institutions are interested in the latest technological and scientific developments accelerating changes in the world at an ever-increasing speed. This high-speed evolution requires new initiatives to establish better connections between these stakeholders at all levels”.
The conference will be held in English with free simultaneous translation into Greek and simultaneous interpretation into Greek Sign Language.
Free admission, but reservation is required.
