Terens Quick asks Vietnam to accelerate signing of agreements in shipping, double taxation

Deputy Foreign Minister Terens Quick on Monday posted details about his recent trip to Vietnam, where he inaugurated Greece’s first business mission to the country at a special event held at the headquarters of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Hanoi.

According to the minister’s announcement, Quick also had bilateral meetings with his Vietnamese counterpart Bui Thanh Son and Vietnam’s Deputy Investments and Planning Minister Vu Dai Thang. In both meetings, Quick requested an acceleration of the procedures in Vietnam for the signing of agreements with Greece on the shipping sector and on avoiding double taxation. He also renewed the Greek government’s invitation to the Prime Minister of Vietnam to visit Athens.

“The synergies of the foreign ministry for the promotion of the Greek economy abroad continue. Today, for the first time, Greek enterprises are in Vietnam in order to penetrate the market of a country that is developing rapidly,” stated Quick as he returned from Hanoi to Greece, highlighting the importance of the Greek business mission.
