The Movement for Change (KINAL) is clear on its stance on corruption and asks that everything be revealed, leader Fofi Gennimata said late on Wednesday, in response to the detention pending trial of former minister Yiannos Papantoniou and his wife allegedly on money laundering.
“Our stance is entirely clear: Bring everything to light,” Gennimata told private Kontra TV during an interview.
The party leader said she was “determined to defend the name and honor of hundreds of thousands of officers and members of the democratic alliance, who have given heart and soul with sincerity and selflessness to serve this country,” she said.
“We are the only party that has cleansed itself politically and ethically,” she noted. “Papantoniou has not been a party member since 2007. Unfortunately, no other party followed us in this (self-cleansing). Now we have to let justice do its job without any further delays.”
