Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Christos Spirtzis will present on Sunday the plan for the restoration of the historic Koraka Bridge, located in the Acheloos Valley, on the borders of Arta with Karditsa.
The presentation will take place next to the remnants of the monument.
During the signing of the agreement for its restoration a month ago, the minister stressed that it is important “to rebuild the bridges and other monuments of cultural heritage, which have been abandoned or have fallen.”
A video will be broadcast on Sunday with statements by EU officials. The presentation will be held with the support of the S & D Group in the European Parliament and on the occasion of the European Year of Cultural Heritage in 2018.
