“The Public Power Corporation (PPC) is totally viable,” Energy Minister Giorgos Stathakis said on Thursday in an interview.
Stathakis referred to specific financial data of the company, explaining that the current accounting statements enhance the transparency and credibility of the company.
He noted that borrowing has been limited and revealed that Brussels approved the one-month extension for lignite units while he assured that the tender proceeds.
The Minister also stated that the energy sector is completely different compared to 2014. “By exploiting a record level of investment, we are turning Greece into an energy hub and we are implementing the transition to the new era of digital networks and a Single European Energy Market.”
