Chania appeals court clears two doctors over death of 16-year-old girl

An appeals court in Chania, Crete, has cleared two doctors from a hospital of Rethymno in connection to the death of a 16-year-old girl in April 2011.

The girl died at the hospital after being taken there by two friends in a state of intoxication. The appeals court reversed an initial court decision that found the two doctors guilty of negligent homicide and had given them suspended prison sentences.
