Climate change and its global repercussions will be the main topic of the international conference “The dramatic changes on the planet and the Hellenic roots of ecological ethics” that will be held on June 17-20, at the Patras University Congress Hall.
The conference is co-organised by Patras University and the International Centre of Sciences and Hellenic Values.
Approximately 200 academics and researchers from all over the world, as well as members of the World Health Organisation environmental health programme, will seek to highlight the urgent issues related to the environment using a scientific approach. They are also going to present the most effective proposals for formulating effective strategies and policies for prevention, based on the Hellenic roots of ecological ethics.
Key topics in the discussions will include chemical pollution, radiation, climate change and its repercussions on health.
