Further relief of Greek debt and post-memorandum surveillance to dominate Eurogroup
The issue of a further relief of the Greek public debt and the post-memorandum surveillance will be discussed for the first time at a ministerial level during the Eurogroup to be held on Friday in Sofia.
The Finance Ministers will discuss Greece’s exit from the memorandum on August 20, but they are not expected to take any decisions.
According to sources of the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA), Eurogroup chief Mario Centeno will present to the Finance Ministers a brief document on the Greek issue following the discussions held in Washington last week. Meanwhile, the representatives of the institutions are expected to brief on the course of the fourth and latest review, which will be completed at a technical level in May so that decisions for the exit from the program are taken at the Eurogroup on June 21.
