The special parliamentary preliminary examination committee investigating the Novartis case has been adjourned until Thursday, when it may reach a conclusion on the issue of competence.
During Tuesday’s session, the letters of politicians declining the committee’s invitation to appear before the committee were read out.
The committee will ask for a one-month extension of its work, with final approval to be given by the parliament’s plenum.
Moreover, the members of the committee were briefed on the case files that were submitted on Monday to the prosecution.
Some members did not rule out the possibility that the issue of competence will be decided on Thursday.
