Kurdish group protests in Athens about Turkish army’s attack on Afrin

Kurds marched in Athens on Tuesday to protest the Turkish army’s attack against Kurdish forces in Afrin, Syria.

They rallied at Syntagma Square and marched to the Turkish embassy which was blocked off limits by Greek riot police vans.

A representative of the Kurdish-Syrian alliance Democratic Union Party (PYD), Muslim Ibrahim, said that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan “is creating a new refugee wave, and destabilising the area again. Afrin will be the beginning of the end for Erdogan and his government. We also condemn Russia for giving Erdogan the green light to proceed,” he said.
