Albania decides to establish cemetery for WWII Greek soldiers at Vouliarates

The Albanian government has decided to establish a cemetery for Greek soldiers that fell in the Albanian mountains during WWII, during fighting between Greek and Italian forces in 1940-41, at the village of Vouliarates in the municipality of Dropull.

The decision, which implemented a Greek-Albanian bilateral cooperation agreement for the location, exhumation and burial of Greek WWII fallen in a special cemetery in Albania, was taken during a government session on Wednesday and posted on the official government website.
