ND leader Mitsotakis: No relatives of mine in any ND government

Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the leader of the main opposition party New Democracy (ND), gave an interview to efimerida “Kathimerini“, where he made two interesting points: first, on the “family politics“, and second, on the constitutional revision.

Mitsotakis clarified that in any future ND’s government, he will not include any family member, which may be unfair for people like his sister ( Dora Bakoyanni), but it is a necessity, in order to eliminate the stereotype of “family politics”.

Also, he said that in the constitutional revision ND plans, they have included the revision of the presidential selection, making it impossible for someone to dissolve the parliament whether they agree with the candidate or not. In case the presidency’s candidate is not accepted by the required majority, then the people will vote directly.
