New trilateral meetings will take place in Nicosia next January, according to a CNA report and a publication in “Phileleftheros” newspaper.
In the first ten days of January, Nicosia will host a trilateral meeting between Cyprus, Greece and Israel. Shortly afterwards, there will be another trilateral meeting, this time between Cyprus, Greece and Jordan.
Government sources told CNA that although the date of the meeting has not been fixed yet on account of the latest political developments in Lebanon, consultations in order to hold a trilateral Summit between Greece, Cyprus and Lebanon, are proceeding at a satisfactory rate.
The agenda of the abovementioned meetings will include relations between the countries, the role of the EU in the region, by regional developments and energy issues such as the East Med pipeline.
Meanwhile, the 5th Trilateral Summit between Cyprus, Greece and Egypt was held in Nicosia last Tuesday. In the Joint Declaration they issued after the meeting, the three parties expressed their firm commitment to further broaden and deepen their trilateral partnership in various fields of common interest.
