Turkish fighter jets over Nicosia violating Cyprus’ airspace

Turkish F-16 fighter jets flew over the occupied part of Nicosia on Tuesday, violating the Cypriot airspace in a rehearsal for a military parade on the anniversary of the 34 years since the declaration of the so-called “Turkish Democracy of North Cyprus,” which is recognized only by Turkey.

The acrobatic team of the Turkish Air Force will hold a show in Keryneia on Wednesday, while in the evening Mustafa Akinci will host a reception at a hotel in the occupied part of the island followed by a film viewing on the establishment of the pseudo-state, as well as a fireworks display.

The events will be attended by the General Secretary of the Turkey’s  Presidency, Fahri Kassirga, as well as the Turkish Deputy Prime Minister, in charge of (occupied) Cyprus, Rejep Ackdag.

Already on the occupied part of the island making contacts are one of the deputy presidents of the Turkish National Assembly, Ahmet Aydin, and the Turkish Army Deputy Chief of the General Staff, general Umit.

For the same reason, MPs from Kosovo, Ghana, Kenya, Gambia and Madagascar are in the occupied part making contacts.
