International Conference ‘Religious and Cultural Pluralism and Peaceful Co-existence in the Middle East’ to be concluded on Tuesday
The 2nd International Conference ‘Religious and Cultural Pluralism and Peaceful Co-existence in the Middle East‘ held in Athens is set to wrap up its works on Tuesday after the final speech by Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry.
Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias will announce the results of the conference later in the day, followed by a press conference.
PM Tsipras, while addressing the conference, highlighted Greece’s unending support to efforts aiming to tackle religious extremism and terrorism.
“We wholeheartedly support all efforts to tackle religious extremism and terrorism, in the effort to promote peace, stability and security”, he noted.
“We are fighting to take this issue on an international level, and as such we actively participate in international fora, aiming to encourage drastic diplomatic and economic initiatives in this direction”, he explained.
