Unilateral actions cannot be accepted, says Tzanakopoulos about Catalonia

Government spokesman Dimitris Tzanakopoulos expressed Greece’s disagreement, on Saturday, about the unilateral actions of Catalonia, calling it for dialogue with Madrid to resolve the issue.

“We are greatly concerned with the situation in Spain and we reiterate that Europe can only move forward united. Unilateral actions cannot be accepted,” Tzanakopoulos said in a written statement.

“We fully support the territorial integrity and cohesion of Spain, but also any initiative to restore democratic dialogue in the framework of the Spanish constitution,” he added.
