Fraport has meeting with local authorities for airports on Rhodes, Kos, Mykonos and Santorini
Southern Aegean Region governor Giorgos Hatzimarkos and Rhodes Mayor Fotis Hatzidiakos on Thursday had a meeting with high-ranking Fraport Greece executives to discuss planned improvements to the airports on the islands of Rhodes, Kos, Mykonos and Santorini
On Thursday night there will be an event at the Dodecanese Chamber where Fraport will provide a detailed briefing to local organisations and discuss the changes and improvements that must be made.
Fraport took over management of the 14 regional airports – including those on the four islands – in April 2017.
In reply to the Rhodes mayor’s demands to speed up the developed of the airport’s infrastructure, Fraport representatives explained that the company had given emphasis to certification issues during the first 100 days and that the preparatory work done to implement infrastructure projects will start to show in the coming months, especially October.
