A stolen Greek antique artifact returns to Athens

A 2000 year old piece from an ancient Greek sarcophagus, which represents a battle between Greek and Trojan warriors, is going to be returned to the Greek National Archaeological Museum in Athens.

According to information the particular articraft was stolen from Greece in 1988 and finally was found in a gallery in Midtown Manhattan New York, last month.

In the begging, piece’s origin was unknown although after extensive investigation its past was revealed.

In a repatriation ceremony, Cyrus Roberts Vance Jr, Manhattan District Attorney returned the Greek artifact to Konstantinos Koutras , General Greek Consul.
