New era in services of Greek consular authorities regarding Greek expatriates and businesses

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Digital Policy in order to achieve the modernization and upgrade of the Ministry’s telecommunication services.

The implementation of the Memorandum of Cooperation is expected to strengthen not only our country’s capabilities in the areas of commercial and economic diplomacy, but our partnerships too with the intention to develop the entrepreneurship through the expanded presence of Greek businesses abroad. The MoU is also expected to contribute to the attraction of new investments.

This project will facilitate, among other things, the Greeks -regarding their service- through the technological upgrade of the relevant consular services by the Greek Authorities abroad, since they will allow them to make applications, etc., online, without the need of going in person to consulates and embassies.

The project, according to what the two ministers said, will be financed from the EETT reserve. .
