The attempt to identify the causes of the tragedy is an act of political responsibility, Interior Minister Panos Skourletis said on Sunday.
Talking to Ethnos newspaper, the minister asked “how much room did the extreme weather conditions in combination with housing labyrinth, leave us to have a different result? This is difficult to answer, but we are obligated to try so that we attribute possible responsibilities. All of this is an undertaking of responsibility in actions and not in words.”
The minister went on to add that “the assessment of the whole situation will be completed and possible responsibilities will be attributed.”
