Fofi Gennimata: Greece needs an investment shock

There is no doubt that Greece needs, today more than ever, an investment shock and this can be accomplished by major foreign investments that may in parallel motivate a large number of major and medium sized Greek enterprises, the president of Movement for Change Fofi Gennimata said during her address late Friday to an event on growth organised by Peloponnisos newspaper in the port city of Patras.

She added that it is obvious that the fourth memorandum is here with strict supervision for many years, without financing to Greece but only with obligations and new cuts and commitments and with targets for very high primary surpluses.

“These commitments are against the country’s growth prospect while the light measures assumed for the relief of the Greek debt extend the uncertainty and the insecurity as Mr. Tsipras (Alexis, prime minister) has put the noose round the Greek people’s neck” Genimmata said.
