Vassilis Kikilias: PM Tsipras ‘gave away Macedonia and received a tie’

Main opposition New Democracy (ND) shadow defence minister Vassilis Kikilias sternly attacked Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and Defence Minister and Independent Greeks (ANEL) leader Panos Kammenos on Monday over the agreement with FYROM, saying that they had “given away the Macedonian nationality, identity and language, contrary to the will of the Greek people.”

“Yesterday, Mr. Tsipras gave away Macedonia to Skopje and received a tie,” he said.

Referring to his party, Kikilias claimed that it “had done its parliamentary duty by highlighting the political mockery in such an important issue of foreign policy, for which Mr. Tsipras only took into account his own political future of the next few months.”

According to Kikilias, the developments will be rapid as the signing of this agreement creates a fait accompli.
