Pitsiorlas: Northern Greece crucial to Greece’s economic growth

“The region of the eastern Macedonia and Thrace, northern Greece in general, is the most crucial region for the growth of the country. Greece can play a broader role in the Balkan region and south eastern Europe and this will depend on how we solve the problems of northern Greece,” said Deputy Economy Minister Stergios Pitsiorlas on Friday.

He met with local business people in Alexandroupolis, northern Greece, as part of a visit to the Alexpo 2018 exhibition.

“We must plan for the prospect of growth in a different way. We can now say that in the next few months, a plan will start to be implemented step by step that has been announced many times but now we will be in a position to implement it,” he said.
