Kate Smith: Greek PM’s visit to London will further enhance bilateral relations

The United Kingdom’s Ambassador to Greece Kate Smith on Thursday referred to the steadfast and enduring value of bilateral relations between the UK and Greece, which were highlighted during a recent visit by Prince Charles and will be further strengthen when Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras’ visits London in two weeks.

In her speech for the celebration of Queen Elizabeth II birthday on Wednesday evening at the UK ambassador’s residence, Smith added that “it is these relations that we honour today, and which my associates and I want to cultivate with you in the coming months”.

Alternate Foreign Minister George Katrougalos, US Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt, the Ambassador of Israel Irit Ben Abba, former prime minister Panagiotis Pikrammenos, New Democracy Vice President Costis Hatzidakis and other officials were among those attending the event.
