IAAF president Coe to attend Gala in Athens for best Balkan athletes of the year

Sebastian Coe, president of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), is visiting Greece at the invitation of the Hellenic Athletics Federation of Athletics (SEGAS) and the Association of Balkan Athetics Federations (ABAF) to attend the annual Gala for the best Balkan athletes of the year that will be held at a downtown Athens hotel.

On Thursday morning, Coe was given a tour of the Panathinaiko Stadium (Kallimarmaro) and afterwards was received by the Greek President Prokopios Pavlopoulos.

In the afternoon, Coe will inaugurate the Museum of Balkan Games and in the evening he will attend ABAF’s Gala, hosted this year in Athens, along with the president of the European Federation of Athletics Svein Arne Hansen. Coe will depart from Athens on Friday.
