Simitzoglou looks into whether Partizan fans will visit Athens for cup final

Sports prosecutor Konstantinos Simitzoglou has ordered an urgent inquiry into claims that fans of Serbia’s Partizan will travel to Athens for the soccer cup final between AEK and PAOK on Saturday.

The prosecutor called the inquiry after an anonymous letter was sent to an Appeals court saying that fans of the Serbian team, who have a brotherhood with PAOK fans, have purchased tickets to the final and are getting ready to visit Athens.

The request for an inquiry was made by the sport prosecutor in order to clarify if the claims are true, and if they are, call for planning to avoid any violence between the fans in or outside of the sports ground.
