“Research and Innovation” at the heart of the 12th International Science Film Festival of Athens

The 12th International Science Film Festival of Athens (ISFFA), which will be held from 8 to 14 November 2018 at the Greek Film Archive, presents over 60 scientific films from all over the world, covering a wide range of fields such as medicine, biology, genetics, astronomy, environmental sciences, new technologies, history of science etc.

This year, the festival’s theme is “Research and Innovation” and focuses on the evolution of technology and the latest achievements in science in an accessible and entertaining way.

By emphasizing the evolution of technology and the achievements in robotics, we learn whether we can build a human brain, we discover hidden secrets of space or know what animals think.

ISFFA is organized by the Caid Center for the Society of Science and Art and is co-financed by the European Union (European Social Fund) and the Greek state. Its co-funded projects deal mostly with the improvement of education and employment in Greece via the development and promotion of human resources skills, activities against unemployment and by the strengthening of social cohesion and social inclusion of vulnerable social groups and the improvement of the quality of education & lifelong learning.
